Jenna studied yoga and obtained her certification from Yoga Fountain in San Francisco, California in 2012. She came to yoga 8 years ago in search of a natural way to heal from years of back pain and has been practicing ever since. As a competitive athlete for over 28 years, Yoga really found a place in her heart being that it is a practice that is always “living” and evolving as well as challenging not just the body, but also the nature of the spirit.
Her style is one that blends vinyasa flow with hatha align principles as well as focusing on the breath in the different asanas. Jenna’s playlists are eclectic and usually made from music that is currently inspiring to her, ranging anywhere from classic rock, country, indie pop electronic, r & B to zen flutes and sitars. As a teacher, it is important for her to share what inspires her as well as empower others through her yoga sequencing, playlists, and yoga philosophy.
“I have found that the ancient practice of Yoga is the best way to uncover the truths of the body, mind, and spirit. I love how in my toughest moments of life, I always look back to how my yoga practice was there and has always left me feeling fulfilled, whole, integrated. Keeping the body healthy is a form of blessing it and Yoga always asks me to check in with myself and be honest with where I am at mentally as well as physically. Without a doubt, discovering Yoga is one of the single most important moments of my life and it is my sincerest desire to share some of the benefits of this beautiful practice with all those around me.”
